Treeflex Bosuns Chair

Location
UK
Here is a pic of the TreeFlex bosuns chair I'm testing. 3 gear loops underneath, protective sides. Adjusts to fit the leg loop sliding rings or blue attachment point or chest rig for those that enjoy a snooze at lunch time

Can be clipped on or off easily whilst aloft, just use when required.

Sorry its not re-sized.

thats clever! It looks like biners are needed to attach it. Being able to attach it to the different points of the saddle seem interesting also.

There are times when a bosuns seat comes in real handy.

not going for the hexafoam?

Hi Steve

There is no need for hexafoam, as the seat clips over the existing leg pads, which are already padded.

Also, the seat is very broad, which certainly helps.

The dimensions are 500mm x 185mm - commodius to say the least!

The seat comes with two maillons, but I swapped them out for two light weight and small rock climbing krabs - no need for lockers as the climber is already tied in. Its a 'layer over' rather than a 'layer under' design. It can also be attached by clipping the webbing loops directly into a D maillon through the blue TFX attachment point. Just crank up either side to get the right pull on the hams, or slack it off and hook it up on the centre of the waist belt out the way.

Easy to call for when needed and dump when no longer required. Leave it with the lunch bag in the middle of those tall trees.

I find hardseats a boon when working out in space for long periods without foot support - like cabling between two leaders on conifers where all the branches are on the outside and you're strung up between the two.
