Tree rescue when working from a spar...

Hey Chip,
I may have been confused. Imagine that. I was speaking of the advantages I see in working a spar SRT, not rescuing SRT, although I would probably do it that way. The limitations of the adjustable F/C for me are that it tends to spin on the spar, especially if the tree is leaning. Also, with my harness and hitch setup I find I am too far away from the work with that system. I use a choked system with a monkey tail and drop the fall of my climbing line into a carabiner in the working end. This gives me a retrieval line. creates enough friction so my hitch acts normal, and creates a system for MA incase I need some lift.
