Tree motion failure

That's good info. I didn't read the booklet and kind of had a hunch that I should be clipped to the back ring. Its on me, so hopefully this post shows other people to not make the same mistake. Thanks for taking the time to post good info backed by facts.
the back ring its for MEWP or bucket attachment, rated 15KN that should hols a saw I believe.
I learned most trought interaction online, theres great people w great knowledge, its a pleasure to give something back thats usefull;)

I don't think the back ring is rated for bucket or other fall arrest attachment. That requires a full body harness with a dorsal attachment. Also, the TM is only rated as a sit and work positioning harness.

Thanks for the adding"full body harness".I completelly forgot to mention that for buckets or MWEPs your TM harness takes an upper bit called a chest harness...but all this cames from the booklet that came when I got a brand new TM harness...I dont know that much on the subject...except TM is a decent belt done by Treemagineers, some of them actually climb trees and use saws

You might want to reread the booklet that came with your harness. There is no chest harness that makes the treemotion compliant as a fall arrest harness for bucket work. The harness is strictly for sit work position or very specific platform use on the rear ring.

And maybe this thread title should be reworded because this sort of failure has happened to plenty of people already and the harness didn't really fail anything...
When I first saw the title I couldn't click it fast enough because it hasn't happened to anyone before.
People really need to do a thorough search in the archives before they post and even then we all need to do our best with our words so the future can find this info.

right this info you gave me is not what I got from Teufelberger, but then again...when I got this harness there was no TM evo...still EN358 is"restraint on working platforms"and my harness has chest hook points, never used...and yes this is not fall arrest harness
