Please stop nailing live electric wires to trees immediatly. Did you read about the latest death in the arboricultural industry. It is in the Awakenings section of the forum. Trees are for transforming Co2 into O2 so we can breathe, poles are for lights. It will be allright if you can't see the trees, it is just because it is nightime. Go inside, go to sleep the tree will be there in the morning.

what are most poles made of?

apositive and a negative and if you touch them together it makes a spark. That stuff gets left in there when the tree owners stop paying for service. Who's problem is it then?

Once or twice I have severed live lines inside the tree or hit junction boxes with the saw. One time I knocked out the pwer in this guys house and he came out to tell me. I didn't even see or hear anything that would make me think that there was power running through the tree I was in. Nobody did. The home owner didn't even know.

I can't tell you how many times I was sent to trim a tree with xmas lights all in it. The boss would say to just take em off, he didn't say before or after I cut the limbs off.

I'm not much for lighting in a tree. Almost every system I've seen has been causing damage of one type or another.

Reminds of a shirt I saw at Target it went something like stop giving homework to save the trees stop the madness, well something like that.

Hey guys there are hacks in all walks of life. If lights are hung with room for growth and properly maintained then there is no damage to the tree and nothing in the tree to mess up our day if we have to work on it. I think that anything that lets people appreciate a tree more can't be all bad.
