Tree ID continued

Roger,

I'm not familar with the 'aurea', I have seen 'glauca' a few times. Anyway, that's not it.

Anyone know this one?

Well, since this tree ID is still unanswered, I think I'll take a stab at it. It looks very much like a Picea orientalis 'Skylands'.

Anyway, this is my maiden post on Tr*eBu*z (such as it may seen written on another forum), and I'll unabashedly take this opportunity to say what a great pleasure it is to be on a board with the likes of Mark Chisholm, Tom Dunlap, and many of the other professionals who post here.

I've felt a bit guilty lurking for so long, and not contributing. However, considering the high level of competence and professionalism most on this board have in arboriculture, posting can be a bit daunting.

But I've come to realize after a few weeks of lurking on the site, that at this this level of professionalism, posting something stupid (at least if it's honest), will not elicit a rash of attacks, such that you might see elsewhere, and that's a good thing (as Martha Stewart might say).

Chucky,

Don't feel daunted, this post has been sitting for quite awhile unidentified and you nailed it. I'm impressed with your plant ID abilities.

Can anyone tell me where the name 'skylands' comes from?
