Tree Falls on Cop Car, Incredible.

When ever I drive under a scary looking tree I think, "Should I floor it, or hit the brakes, if I see it falling over?"

But, I have a feeling it all would happen so fast that I'd probably have the time to duck. That's it.

Tree "branch"? Media mistake strikes again... Looks like the trunk broke at 10-20' from the ground, and yes the pruning cuts look like someone maybe knew the tree had issues.
The cop's lucky he slowed down; a direct hit on the roof instead of the hood woulda hurt.

I actually saw a victim of this a couple of years ago. I had just arrived awhile after ems and police were there. It was a white ash that failed 20' up and crushed the ladies car pretty badly but she was fine just cut a little.

When i go by the tree which is still standing i always think the same thing...........should i floor it??

That's just crazy. I've had nightmares about something like this happenening to me after we do alot of storm work.

WOW! This happened once in my town but it wasn't a cop car. We had to pick the limb off with our clam truck.
