The department of Parks & Recreation for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a nationally accredited, award winning organization looking for a Tree Climber with experience climbing trees in accordance with safety requirements operating chain saws and other specialized equipment in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. You may be required to perform other park maintenance duties as assigned. The person we seek will have:
•A high school diploma or GED, AND
•One (1) yr. of tree maintenance experience, w/six (6) months of tree climbing experience, OR
•An equivalent combination of education and experience;
•A valid Driver’s License;
•A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) w/appropriate endorsements upon appointment or can obtain it during the probationary period, AND
•Pass a Commission medical examination.
