went to the "highlands" yesterday on the appalachian trail for a dayhike. Just missed the ripe blueberries that are scattered all over. this is one of my favorite places close by. there are some dense spruce/fir forests that are nice, but I stayed on the balds this time. its between 5000-6200ft elevation.
