not very often these days Steve, I did do a 50 ft conny yesterday in a rear yard corner over three fence line in the rain and the bossman said it must be nice to be given a easy one now and then to keep my moral up. funnily enough he was right.Do you take down and small simple trees?
thank you very much sir,Great video
thankyou Leviid you take the lizard home?
Xring tender?!?!?!???Whaaaat!!!
figured you would get the driftI feel your pain
Levi please excuse me while I waffle on your dime, this idea came to me out of inspiration, I assembled it and it looked right.Do you think that a dog snap or something of that sort would work in place of the ring?
Thankyou John for the kudos and the attention to details. yeh I am not a big selfie kind of person - more into letting the work speak for me.Second time I've seen your face in a video
The triple beast is currently under the X-man workshop and will be coming out under another name as a officialReally like the triple Beast!
Well I did assure the supplier that I would engage in field testing and I do like to deliver on my promisesGreat work Ben! You put those rings through a workout.

Wicked bro , great stuff ben Thanks for the shoutout although it was entirely your ideathankyou Levino didn't keep him more capture and release to safer ground, I personally love geckos they are Gods little people in the tree , so peaceful and nonviolent with beautiful individual markings really try to save them, me and the whole crew will stop a job temp' to relocate a gecko just one of those unspoken things we all share onsite.
The X-Tender is undergoing extensive testing (by me the human guinea pig)
I came up with the idea recently after jesse coleman 's application of a dmm pinto rigging pulley spacer at the top of the VT (works great by the way haven't singed my fingers since, Big thank you and shoutout to Jesse for that one!!)
I have a x-ring in the 'setback" space of the VT above the hitch climber pulley and below the last turn of the VT
okay it is limited in that you have a non removable ring on the rope unless you run it off but I feel the upside makes it worthwhile if you climb on Ddrt like this old Ddrt dino.
The X-tender removes the SETBACK, yep no setback or loss with the pull up and now I do not have to tend the bloody hitch while I climb making the VT a one handed hitch! it is what I imagine a rope runner or similar does for sRt but now I get to keep my Ddrt and flow around through the tree one handed!!! whoop whoop indeed friends it is changing my game up for the better whether on a foot ascender or just flying along I love the bloody thing.
will make a video soon to explain it better.
Cheers Ben
if you get a chance, snap a few pics of this X tender. I'm curious. Great video buddy.Levi please excuse me while I waffle on your dime, this idea came to me out of inspiration, I assembled it and it looked right.
The aircraft designer Roy Chadwick said" if something looks right it is because it is right" he was talking about our intuitive nature when we see something that presents the correct proportion or balance it looks to be correct in our minds eye , we feel the "rightness" of the item like a vibe coming off it towards us.
the X-tender looks right, the way the prussic cord flows around the ring and back to the hitch climber pulley, the space it takes up by the height of the ring being just so, it works well as if it was meant to be and I do not "feel' a dog snap being the equivalent of the x-ring but there nothing to stop you trying out the variations I have been wrong so many time before in my life one more won't surprise me at this point.
this is all open source as far as it concerns me, I won't and don't expect to make dollar one on this idea, it may not sell a whole lot more X-rings for David but it may make some other climber other than me happy and that will be the payoff.![]()
Mike there will be a intro' video coming soon.I'm curious.
thank you very much sir.Great video buddy.
maybe so but your idea seeded mine so fair credit where fair credit is due.although it was entirely your idea,
Yes I am broading my horizons climb wise and truthfully having a blastit looks like you are spicing things up and having fun
