I’ve had my treemotion for a few months now and Velcro is already not doing its thing. Anyone have any ideas on how to help it stick better?? I did t have this problem with my older TM. I apologize if their is a thread about this but if there is I couldn’t find it.

I've had mine since pretty soon after they came out my Velcro is kinda craping out as well, I'm going to clean it and see if it helps, pretty annoying though.

Yeah, I got mine lightly used but Velcro function has been pretty poor. Something I'd rather not have to worry about. I really like the saddle but not quite as comfy as the Sequoia it's replacing either. Interested if there's any resolutions.
 
Also having issues with the velcro, annoying because it's a new saddle...but nothing the old TM didn't do as well.

Best I've come up with is to try and keep the backpad clean and free of sawdust, and try not to bend it like crazy or jam it into a bag.

Also upset because the stitching on the chest harness attachment points is beginning to fail.... so much for improvements.
 
Velcro tip: On the part that is hooks, rub a file card through it. For those who don't know what a file card is, a file card is what is used to clean out the groves on a file when they get clogged up. Usually a wooden handled thing with little metal hairs all pointed in the same direction.
Don't rub it on the felted half however. That tears the loops.
It will clean all the grit and debris out of the hooks so it works better. Vacuum the felt half.

In and out of the bag is one of the main nuisances. I feel like it takes up twice the space because I don't want to cram it in any weird way that it will unvelcro itself apart lol.

Good advice from @Shadowscape , I have tried this exact method for my treemo 2018. The Velcro just didn’t hold AT ALL. I solved all of this by getting a MB 2.0. Haven’t even thought of looking back lol.

This happened to me only on the back pad and not on the leg pads…

Same backpad not legs. I have a monkey beaver 1.0 too but I find the tm more comfortable for pruning. The pad on the monkey beaver digs into my side and ribs when in awkward positions.

I bring the leg pads up to the backpad and bring the upper d’s together and kind of finagle it in. I have way to much stuff in my harness as well

Yeah that's pretty much the method I use. I do really enjoy the saddle though, customization options are awesome. I would probably prefer a new Sequoia if the pins holding the bridge together weren't breaking on people..

Link please!!!! If possible. Only thing I can find on the internet is some fellow that couldn't get his pin screw out, which he probably cranked down too tight himself since he said he has changed bridges several times, which was on this site about two years ago. Can't find anything about pins breaking.
 
I have had two Sequoias. Standard and SRT. The standard one I pretty much wore out and never had a pin issue. The SRT one I sold after very limited use because I don't do SRT work often enough to justify keeping it about. I don't understand how you could break one of the pins without abusing it severely.

I respect Climbing Arborist, but I don't buy the story one bit. Had that screw snapped where it did, the bridge would still remain intact where it was. The screw is still held in place at the other end of the paw, and the post is held in place at the bottom and can't come out, unless the entire screw got shot out completely by some magical force. It can't move far enough to let the bridge slip by.

Broken pin, I will give it. Why it broke is yet to be determined. The rest of the story is hog wash.
The screw may have been broken for a long time and the screw finally backed out enough to let the pin go, but that should have been noticed a long, long time ago by the climber.
