Why would the cops get involved in something like this? There must be more to the story than just a work place accident

Again, I don't know the whole story... however in this area it's typical for the cops to go on just about every call. Calls for medical emergencies, fires, etc. etc. Cops are almost always there first.

I found out a little more information the other day from my friend who told me about this originally.

Apparently the guy who got injured was out from about mid-December. He just went back to work last Monday. I think that by Tuesday or Wednesday he was unemployed. I was told that they made him quit, or fired him because he got hurt on the job.

Sorry this took so long, but I found out more info on the story.

Apparently the guy who got hurt is working for me now... which I didn't realize until the other day.

Alright, the company he was working for was TCOT. The guy has MANY years of experience with the business, so he was no newb when this happened. The way he tells it, there were SEVERAL people on the jobsite, but he doesn't remember exactly what happened. He said that the last thing he really remembers was that he was tying on a chainsaw for a climber who also had a polesaw up in the tree. He said somebody else was either taking a shot with a throw weight, or was messing around with a stuck bag. He had to spend 2 days in the hospital because of the damage... I think it hit him in the bridge of his nose. Then he went back another day later in the week when a surgeon installed some kind of metal piece into the bridge of his nose.

I like yelling 'heads up' about a second after the throw bag hits the ground.

That is because you only think it funny. Tell them what you called me after Jeff ran me over you sicko.

I knocked mself on my butt with throw bag a few years back.

Now days I am reluctant to pull out my bag especially in tight quarters. I drop my bag untie and pull out the string rather than risk getting stuck or worry about runaway throw weights!

When I first got a big shot I put a big dent on the top of a parked car! Over shooting is a real risk with the BS.

Yesterday I was hanging out with a bunch of Tree Housers at Tree House Point near Seattle. One of the climbers in the group had rigged a light weight using a rock and tape...was using nylon fish line to get a high shot...got stuck...was pulling hard...the rock snapped back with lots of tension (stretch) and just missed his head and other unprotected heads...and was 8" into the ground!

in virginia they use to use 20 oz plastic bottles filled 3/4 for the way up for throwbags when they would bust the one they had up, probably one of the most brain dead ideas ive heard or seen.
