throw bag cube

Sherril sells 'fold 'n' hold' cubes, well they did to one of my friends, dont know how much they charged?

They're fair to middlin.....but now that I have a "Falseheimer", I'm spoiled. So much better for keeping the innards from flopping around, since they fold up tight, unlike the cheap cubes.

How well do those things hold up?

Not very well.

The Faltheimer is worth the money.

In my experience, the Sherrill "Falseheimer" was a big disappointment.

I like my Faltheimer. I'm hoping it will lat 10 years for the money I paid for it.

I'VE GOT one of the prototypes that were built during the fine tuning process of the original Faltheimer. It only has one corner rod peaking out of it after all of these years. A dab of glue has fixed that.

Whenn did the Faltheimer come onto the market?

I think it will. I have had mine for about 5 years now and it still is in great condition. I notice the fabric by ONE of the rods is wearing thin. That'll be an easy fix. Also, there is one spot on the bottom where the fabric folds all up that is showing a little wear. Other than that it looks very good despite being dropped from trees and being left out in the rain a couple times.

Are you differentiating the
Faltheimer (white, 18", $78) from the
"Falseheimer" (black, 17", $49).

Since the black is "originally designed by German arborist Heinrich Haeussler" and "not sold in Germany", I assumed that these were specially made for Sherrill to give a more economical product of the same construction, but not compete against the original in the Fatherland

Are the black cubes inferior? If so, how?

Yes, they are inferior. We had problems with rods poking through fabric. Also a breeze would close the cube suddenly. Usually when I was about to hit the spot. They lasted a few months.

We returned three of these to Sherrill and exchanged them for Faltheimers. Thus far they've withstood a good year of daily production work.
