I've been looking at a dump trailers to haul our mini/stump grinder. The thing is I've had some jobs recently where I could have loaded nice straight logs but the mini couldn't lift them. Loading logs with the mini can be time-consuming, definitely faster than doing it by hand but slower than with a log trailer. My idea was having something like this made:

I could use this as an all around trailer plus haul it with the truck in the summer and try to convert it for small woodlot management in the winter, maybe change the tires for something more offroad. The mini would become more of a fowarder and could be left at home if the trees are road side.
I was even thinking of skipping the hydro dump and just using the grapple to lift the bed. Not sure if it would be worth the savings.
What do you guys think?
