I think I saw a web podcast with a fellow who was big on arborist history. He had saddle history, ladder free climb safety rope sequence and I think examples of old saws right from the Swede saw to modern. Middle to "past middle" aged 
fellow. May have done axes too. I can't recall his name.
My grandpa showed me his swede saw when I was single digits old and the gnarly teeth impressed the hell out of me. 2 man saw seemed really long to me
