The Stein Arbor Trolley looks sweet

[ QUOTE ]
Based off just building my own out of aluminum just because I'm picky.

The price on the arbor trolley is spot on considering what materials it takes to build it, the time to cut, weld, grind, paint, and setup the unit. Worth every penny.

Any Idea how much weight you saved by going Aluminum?

Costs way less than a bad back caused by hauling rounds on your shoulders. ;)

Careful you don't hurt your back taking the little bugger on and off the truck. It ain't light and it is awkward. I have to stow it where it won't get stolen so it is riding shotgun in the chip truck. If I cover anything with a tarp they think it is a power tool and break the window :-(

The first day I got it I wrenched my back good. Now I stow it on the chipper tongue

im trying to make a case for getting one of these to my employer, but want to cover all my bases first before i bring it up.
the one thing i can imagine being the problem, in the eyes of my employer, with buying one without seeing it is how do you transport it? we tie our log dolly (which we share with another crew) to our chipper where you feed brush. its a morbark hurricane 2400 so its a decent size feed tray, but ive never seen the arb trolley in person either.

my employer is all about investing in tools that help production and help the crew but you really gotta sell 'em on it. ill definitely be showing him some of Bonner's vids.

how are you guys transporting yours around? an suggestions?

We have a morbark m12R with a winch so it gets winched to the back of the chipper.

Here is something I saw on facebook. The exact dimension of the AT are on treestuffs page.

"The ball cart comparison"
"And the original product detail"

Here is the playlist with all the AT content I know of, mine included.

Great idea!
Tractor hitch pins would also work well in place of those bolts.

I like that idea. Any picts? Tailgate would get in way of tarp loads and in my case pinning the tailgate to side of truck while dumping.

Whoever cart that is got the chit tires like they tried to pawn off on me :-)

ps...you guys need to get the boss to drop one of them secretaries and spring for a mini lol

I welded a couple of tabs to the cabinet side of the chip box and the cart hangs solidly there with the handle through the middle. Also added a grab handle for climbing into the box.

A shove and twist will unattach the cart but you have to climb up for attaching. Its in the way when you have a full load of chips but will remain in place when dumping half loads.

Not the greatest but works in our space challenged setup.

You and your co-workers will love it...guarenteed!

this thing is awesome. if anyone is on the fence about it, make the switch. one of my favorite things about it is how fast you load the thing. when the bucket operator is letting stuff fly its easy to load up quick, keep the debri pile small and stay outta the operators landing zone
