Its really good.

yes its basically the Band of Brothers series but based around marines in the pacific.

I don't get HBO, but I think that I've heard about it.

Looks like I'll have to wait until its released on dvd and rent it from Blockbuster

yea you can watch it for free on your computer from the hbo site. and yes npr did a great piece on it. my grandfather was in the phillipines so ive always been interested in the war in the pacific. Its amazing what these guys went through and its nice to see them honored.
