what is it? how does it make using a throwline easier or better? where to get one or even to see one?

Throwline flakes nicely into the cube and that's why it makes throwing easier. Very few tangles. I made up a divider for mine so I can carry two lines and four bags in a really compact unit. No more buckets. Since the cube is so large, it makes flaking really easy too.

Mike Oxman found a similar folding cube at Crate and Barrel and Pier One. they're made of cotton and even the big one is just a little small. These are really cheap though.

Even better than buckets or cubes - an extension cord spool. You can easily set up and throw as well as store your throw line in under a minute. You can get one at any hardware store for $4.00. No more stuffing into a little bucket or bag.

Tom, Thank you for clearing that up for me. It seems like a very simple and easy way for storing throwline equip. I use something similiar but not as large. it is a collapsable dog water bowl. my wife saw it in a camp store , thought is was perfect for throwline. Harleydude, thanks for the suggestion. so how is the rhino line doing on an extention cord reel?

I was shown a cube a few days ago that folded down to a triangle. The only disadvantage that was explained to me was the way it kinked the line when folded. I did like it though. Its a great way to quickly stow and throw a line, especially in long grass!
