the Beast Ring Boys

you guys are very skilled and can make the the pieces you cut you whatever you please through your rigging....Your groundies must love how easy you make their job...I am wondering a little though, Where you guys getting fancy with the rigging just for the sake of the video and showing how awesome those rings are? Do you feel the tree could of been done faster done a simpler way? just curious if you had a 2nd job to get to if you would have still set up all that rigging.

Very good video and demo of the rigging rings. It ought to reassure people of their toughness and suitability. Hard to get a true sense of scale with those gopros, but some very good camera work and editing.
 
Some guys have ALL the fun. Well done, and nice demo of when to rig and when to bomb (appropriate measures taken). Nice video!
 
Oh cool, I didn't know there was any replies on here. I will answer the questions, hopefully tomorrow night. I was just about to go to bed and happened to come across this thread. Funny you should say that Worthaug; I guess you didn't see my video, Lorde of the Rings?

Great rigging and use of the rings. Having used the rings for redirects and the like they are very nice. How many were used in the big wood section of the video? I am really impressed with all the camera angles. That takes a ton of time but is well worth it in the end. Bixler, were you the camera man for most of it or was Lawrence? Great work.

Lawrence is especially good at setting up camera angles to show all the right action.:D Both him and X are very skilled at video-treework.
 
Worthaug. I appreciate your interest in the sequel. A lot more will go into it.

Good question, I wonder that stuff too when I see some videos of work.
It was a very long day, I left Maryland at like 4am maybe got to NY and started on the tree at 8:30 am. It was A LOT of tree and no time to dilly dally. The day was cloudy and dark, lots of shots couldn't even be used. Limbs and plenty of work was missed in that video because it didn't turn out well on film. We finished the tree up around dark, 8:30pm. I thought Lawrence took a little bit of time placing video cameras, but not much. The rigging was all needed and even if there was no cameras running, I would have DEFINITELY done it the SAME WAY on the rigging.

Here was the ground lay out, the only bit of bad, crumbly concrete was right around the tree. Small patch. As soon as it was safe to actually bomb something, we did and I set the wood up so nothing was going to get broken or roll into the stairs. The curbing was nice and new.

HOW DO I POST A PICTURE ON THIS NEW BUZZ ?????!!!!!!!!!
