Teupen Spider lift ,group buy, anyone?

spider "on" a low bed truck. actually this truck appears not to have a bed yet, I think they needed to take some pictures and truck bed wasn't installed yet, my guess.

I like even the little things, like those pads, look at em.. Looks like the inner pad can slide in the big pad, cool.

this is a 26T (the 85 foot one!)

Your right about the pads, reduces scuffing or tearing up the ground. Also reduces stresses in the outrigger when its sliding as its easier to slide on that pad than say grass, especially if its sunk in an inch or two.

We thought about buying one. where do you get it maintainenced at? I heard you could only get it do in Germany because no one was in the states? Did you get to visit German company before you bought one?

yeah, I agree. Lots of the tree service pics on the site show very easy trees being stripped by someone in a spider lift. One is a 40 foot pine in the middle of an open yard, being stripped with someone in a lift. could have climbed it and stripped it really fast on the way up, shoot, probably could have felled the whole thing.

VERY good question, I want to look into that.....

I don't have one, I didn't visit a German comp.

Teupen America I have learned yesterday, is a private company here in the US that sells them. From what I understand, they buy them in bulk from the German company that builds them and just pass it on to us (after making their wallet a bit fatter).

Good question about the maintanance and I wonder how hard it would be to get any special parts for them? How expensive too?
