TCIA Membership

I belonged for a year; picked up some good stuff. Went small shortly after but if you have a bigger company it's a good deal. Visit their website or better yet go to their expo to learn a lot more.

mb you might want to abstain instead unless you know something.

We've been a member for a long time. Their Winter Management Conference, while expensive, is worth every penny spent going. All the speakers are top notch in sales or business management. If you have employees, the Model Company Safety Program is a must. You also recieve "The Tree Worker" aimed at production employees and a business management e-zine. Of all the organizations I belong to - I see this as the most valuable.

I'd agree as well. We've been members since '89 or so. They help the comopany function better (in my opinion). If you are an idividual, then maybe the ISA is better for you. A bunch of info is available to help structure the company to work safer, comply and also keep the books in order. A great idea for a co.

I have run hot and cold on my membership. When I had OSHA troubles the member ship was worth every penny and subsequently I have decided that it is worth supporting this industry group. Peter Gerstenburger was very available and very helpful during this painful episode in my"education".

I've heard people say that TCIA membership is like buying an extended warranty/insurance for your business. The dues seem expensive until something breaks down, then it's priceless.

Not to mention it's 100% tax deductable. Why give it to the irs - instead support our industry association! I am a one man operation and I plan on continuing my membership as long as I can justify it. Even though I don't have any employees the info is still pertinant given my experience.

Did I hear "Top Notch" ... They are and Ditto on all the pro comments, been a member since the late 80's, choke on the dues sometimes but they are always available to help you make your business more successful. They are looking out for us as professionals, ALL Arborist businesmen should help support them in there mission to improve our industry. Networking at TCIA and the Winter Mgnt conferences is priceless
