Is there a way to subscribe to the tcia magazine without being a full member. I'd just like the magazine. I know it's on the net but I'd prefer the hard copy, easier to read on the crapper. I have enough hands in my pockets already insuance, isa etc. I called the tcia and it didn't seem so simple to just get the mag.

Yes, professional tree people get a complimentary subscription. A least once a year you have to fill out a survey card and sign a request to continue receiving the magazine. ...I wonder why they didn't clarify that on the phone?

Thanks, I thought they offered that. And I realize that these associations are for us, and to our benifit and should be supported. But like all large organizations they develop many hangers on, like the receptionist who held out on the info on the phone. Maybe they have a union.

I would like to add to this by saying that I believe the magazine is great and I would like to add that I am the climber on the front cover of the October issue.

So on second attempt the rest of the story was revieled. If you are from the US they offer free subcriptions, but for Canada and international there is a fee.

Da norterners get a long off season, with not enough money to afford the educational material to keep busy. The subscription is $45, so I ordered the Brion Toss dvd on splicing instead. That should keep me out of trouble till spring.
