Suggestions for midsize saw?

Echo seems to being formidable saws. My coworker has the bigger top handle and although the ergonomics are not for me it could keep up with the 201 for a lot less

A sharp, efficient blade is what makes them cut fast and clean. I feel the blade and it's duller than a butter knife. I always get the same kind of response when I point that out.

"What? Chainsaws don't have blades!"

Stihl MS 461. BEST SAW EVER. The 361 is nice if you want something lighter.

I went after trimming a live oak today and looked at a ms 360 that a buddy of mine has that he is going to get rid of. I have a sycamore to take down tomorrow and he's letting me take it and put it through the paces tomorrow really ready to bring it in the tree with me as I'm coming down I'll let yall know what I think but for the price alone I'm sure it's going home with me

You won't be disappointed with that 360. Like I said my 361 is my favorite all around saw. Light and plenty of power for a 20" bar just keep the chain sharp. Also it doesn't feel cheesy like the Husqvarna. I loved my Huskys but they all, especially the new ones, just feel weak and fragile to me. You drop that stihl out of a tree it's still guna be working. I dropped a 372 10' one time and shattered the recoil and snapped one of the bolt holes off the case that holds the recoil cover on.

I'm a big fan of stihl saws as well. My load out on the ground is a 361 and 660. In the tree I use a 201 and then a 260. The 360 saves a few seconds, but the weight difference is pretty substantial and if I'm doing pine (a good portion of my jobs), the 360 doesn't really save a lot of time compared to the 260.

Well need less to say I the proud owner of a ms360 now and just got back to work after a couple days off and noticed our new saws had came in and were on the rescue truck I actually used the 290 to vent a small garage that night worked nicely
