STUPID! YOU'RE SO STUPID!

Re: STUPID! YOU\'RE SO STUPID!

You are a smart guy ! and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. You've done your homework as well. And I can tell you that I in no way, agree with everything the republicans have done or continue to do. Heck most of them tend to just go with the flow in order to keep their jobs. Any way you look at it, we will have a liberal in office shortly. Health care will continue to be a problem. Gas prices will still be out of control. We will still have a big problem in the mid east.

Sorry to hear about your tough go at it in your professional life, three decades, that's impressive, I have two decades of history working w' trees, so, I'm far from a young pup. I'm quite satisfied. I love what I do, I love working for the people I work for,(even the rich ones) I earn enough money to support a family of five, I have no credit card debt. And get this one ,I have family health coverage. All this with no help from the government.

I play by the rules, I live within my means, after all life is what you make of it.

I'm really intersted in what the "change" will be. Or more importantly won't be.

Re: STUPID! YOU\'RE SO STUPID!

All in good friendship, and ditto with the respect of toil and labor.

Change simply means difference. Unexpected change hurts more, and that we all know is coming, being garnished or clouded by "not to worry" appeals from the White House itself, or the captains of industry now admitting things aren't the rosey picture that was painted a year ago.

My Dad went thru 2 Depressions, the un-employed lawyer or the layed-off stock analyist selling individual apples on Times Square wasn't uncommon. Rural societies dominated the cultural make-up of our citizens then, it was easier to survive for most people...today's culture is looking to be interesting when hunger is a driving force, a home or even a shelter might be not available often. That's a promised speculation from the economists away from the answers given to the nightly news reporter, not unlike the truths coming out from returning soldiers after triple tours in the warzone instead of Gen. Patraious' positive assessment of the surge working.

Being ready for change doesn't mean shifting stocks to oil-related portfolios instead of dot.coms, it means having a store of fuel and foodstocks in the event your smalltown bank shuts it's doors and four days later...how will you answer a disconnected phone? That's happened before and if you read the warnings from historical headlines in mainstream papers of the 20's, it's frightening to see the same companies' speaking the same outlooks - General Electric, General Motor's, Ford, and Boeing. The same benefactors, the same victims, the same business formulas we're practicing today, times ten worse (less regulation).

Change in thinking, change in throwing blame to others, change in perspectives. Change in what we do for work, how we work, and an important factor...how we get to work doing what when we get there.

80 percent of us are employed by others. Tree work is less rigid, but more dependent on the flexibility of cliental - their ability to option work instead of buying necessities. The subd9ivisions of people who almost own a home and work for a company that's traded like yesterday's wheat on a market can overnight find themselves without work....legions of them and that's most of us now.

Watch the market, review the daily statistics of foreclosures, unemployment, and war. Debt, health, foreign dollars, and closures of industries. It's a repeat of something for all costs, has been whispered about only, guarded against by the leaders, but ominously close to happening again, most interesting for me because I was gifted to have a dad who could tell me what it was like before and how it could happen again.

Change is unavoidable, to delay it by rhetoric will only make it more painful and damaging, to resist it will hurt more when it comes, as it isn't optional, it just is.

And you're right - Hillary will same 'ol it, McCain will continue it, and Ron Paul hasn't a chance.

Wars, pollution, cheap on-the-take medicines, fake food and drive thru shopping for crap and violent gunplay in the suburbs while kids on anti-depressents isn't working for the majority, but Bill Gates is happy, so is Cheney.

If you're referring to my bad language warning, I was warning the kiddies; and I didn't want my post deleted! I read lots of scary things.

Taken.

Like Haldol and opium, numbness and ignorance is bliss. At least until your pusher gets busted, or you do.

Would also enjoy a beer too, but will be retired and gone by Fall.

Re: STUPID! YOU\'RE SO STUPID!

WOW!!!

All that from a story of a man who makes bad decisions.

This is the best thread yet!

And isn't great that our government is going to BORROW billions from CHINA in order to give every American a few hundred dollars.

RUN AWAY!!!RUN AWAY!!!

Re: STUPID! YOU\'RE SO STUPID!

Ain't gonna fight no war no more.

An earned right.

Like the generations preceeding me and most Americans, we're a culture from those who left to find something better somewhere else. Not that I haven't tried to make it better and responsible, I threw my CIB and tarnished Bronze Star back onto the Capital steps in Dewey Canyon 3 citing broken promises and lies. Outreach for victims of Agent Orange when most Americans were snug with Saturday Night Live, compiled the 170,000 known suicide statistics of Vietnam vets for the White House Interagency Working Group on Veteran's Affairs, and protested loudly for improvement in failed health care for veterans of all wars from our own V.A. system.

My how times have changed and things improve, right? Money from China, pardons for dead thieves, other nations setting record prices for their oil not because they wish to be us, but to punish us for ruining ourselves.

Leaving and running? I know when to duck, that's all. It's gotten me this far and I plan on going further. Can't be done here, not anymore and not for me. Fear and war instead of hope and diplomacy. Believe me, one will only make things worse and the other could only benefit but knowing the psych of the nation, the pulse of the culture, I've planned for and made my future's choice.

Probably are if you're not serving time.

Re: STUPID! YOU\'RE SO STUPID!

Right on Jim454! Like your longer post above. This is a free country, but nowhere is there a guarantee for success. All the
people wanting the government to "fix there problems" are basically saying I don't need freedom anymore, its just too hard to work for it. So, they'll take the fix and the hand out
for the cost of not ever having the opportunity to be successful.

If we went to a government funded health care like everyone wants, the R and D of the best medical service in history will end. People travel to the USA to get top procedures done. No gov. funded health care business will ever be able to do that. So my wife saved by Mayo Clinic wouldn't be "saved".

I buy my families own health insurance out of my W2 I pay myself.

If it costs too much stop smoking!!!
