strength question

I spliced some Samson Ice, locking brummell, splice came ok pretty good, my issue is my kid threw it in with my dog's room, he chewed it a LITTLE, but 1 strand is pulled out and frayed, can't feed it back in. Should this be junked?? It's brand new, just did it yesterday, I'm thinking I can use it as part of my 5:1 MA instead of climbing on it.

This could be a good use for it. Why climb on it if you are constantly questioning it?
