Stihl ms211

Hi there!

I've recently purchased a ms211 as ground saw for cash work, around a property and for blocking palms etc...
I would love to put an 18inch bar and chain on it as it really feels like it would suit it.
Still with the .050 3/8p chain, but my local stihl dealer (Australia) has said they can't order it / it isn't a thing?

I've looked on the Stihl USA website and have seen they recommend it with and 18inch etc and was wondering if anyone could clarify if we might have different standards here in Australia or if anyone knows where I can order one online?

Thanks in advance,
Mitch

Even though the product description says an 18" bar is recommended and presumably comes as the stock bar, Stihl's chart shows

which might be why your dealer says it isn't a "thing."

Do you think the salesperson just looked at the chart and went no further? Do they not have a new 211 with an 18" bar on the shelf to look at the bar p/n?

Personally, if I wanted a longer bar and chain, I'd put the money towards a bigger saw. I have a 261 which has a recommended bar length of 16" despite being 4.0 hp (versus 2.3 hp for the 211) though it does use 0.325 RM3 chain.

is that chart off the usa site?
I'm not to sure, they're really good at my local store and said they don't think it's a thing
but the picture below is off the usa site and says an 18inch is recommended in the pm3?
I'll be modding the saw out so I think it'll handle the 18inch with .050 chain
