Stihl 2 n 1 lazer

Oakman???WTF? :sorprendido3:

Seriously though, I can see the use. How many times do you gun a saw and see it a foot or two off from where it goes and then go back to the stump only to see that it went exactly where you told it to go? Might not matter most of the drips, but some are critical. Mind you I never tried the laser before, but I can only assume it would extend the sights on the same to enhance accuracy. Am I off base here? It's truly not a STIHL thing for me either;)

Why not tape a laser on top and inline with your recoil side gunning sight, when needed for precision gunning? Then remove it later, and spend about $75.00 on nice multi purpose tool.

I always said a simple level bubble system in the handle would take care of a lot. Many times I see the problem with direction nit due to the actual direction of the wedge itself but the wonky angles is was cut on. Ie; down hill pie cut when it should be level. Misaligned back cut on a fat trunk where you cant see the wedge.

I like it. I agree with Mark. Might not use it all the time, but when you need to make the precision fell it could be added on very easy. I would try it for a while. How much!!

That's odd, I don't quite see the value in that.

I like the idea of it as a selling point. Bring one on a small saw with you to sale calls. I get asked all the time to explain how I am going to execute the job. Pull out your chainsaw with a laser on it....WOW. You just blew your potential customers mind. Why? Because your crews use state of the art equipment to help provide safety, quality, and precision tree care and removals.
Might not come up on every sales job, but a nice way to set you a part from your competition. Just and idea.

we've used a standard laser pointer affixed to a 12" T-square since the late 90's to verify the hinge direction before starting the backcut. Use as a training tool or when accuracy is critical. laser felling square.webp Precision 90 degree pointing to your target and also confirms if the front edge of you hinge is straight.
