SRT climbing in Raleigh

I occasionally climb for a Raleigh-based landscape designer who installs and maintains lights in trees. Last week I charged $90 for changing one bulb at the mayor's house. It's another, more peaceful, way to earn money climbing trees. Now I don't have enough time for it, and it doesn't give work to my ever-hungry ground crew. But I'd like not to leave this guy in a climber-less lurch, as he is good, conscientious, and pleasant.

If you know of any climber who might be interested in this work, please pass along this post to him/her.

I've been charging $45/hr with a 2hr minimum. I'm sure that's flexible. The work is sporadic and occasional, but I've always been able to schedule it according to my own availability weeks in advance. It's mostly in Raleigh, but there's a day-long Chapel Hill job at the end of this week. In June there's a multi-day job in Rocky Mount. The electrical stuff is simple, and I'd be happy to work team up with the new climber for the transition.

I do similar work for a landscape installer. He thinks $50 a pop for bulb changes is worth it just to watch me climb. It is super chill work, SRT up and rap back down.

Yes, we're still getting these gigs.

We've got a large job towards the end of March (around 3/22 to 3/25). I'd love to get your help on it. I don't know if the dates are flexible, but I'll check into it if it might make a difference. Please email me about it.

Hey Craig - Keep me in mind if you have jobs like this in the future. I'd be glad to do it on the weekends/evenings.

Hey, Patrick! Really cool website you left a link to in your profile! Thanks also for the detailed description in your profile about your climbing background.

I worked in your neck of the woods for awhile a year or two ago; sorry I never had the chance to meet you then.

I know you've already been a member here for a bit, but I'll say "Welcome to the TreeBuzz forum!" anyway. I hope to read more from you in the future.

Thanks for the welcome, Tim. Sorry I missed meeting you when you were down here, too.

Sounds interesting. I'm an hour south of Raleigh, a bit far to drive, but if he has any jobs near Fayetteville or southeast, I'd be interested and available. Just retired from my full-time job, so more time for climbing and tree work.
