Squirrel repellant for in-tree use

A couple of weeks ago I went to a clients yard because she had large bark chips on the ground. When I looked up I saw that beavers had chewed off the bark from a four inch diameter mulberry limb. Completely girdled the thing. Between that time and the day that the pruning was scheduled the squirrels had 'topped' several leaders on a hackberry too.

Is there any product that really works to keep squirrels away?

One client's son was practicing with his pellet gun.

I tell people that a lead poisoning works...in 22 caliber doses. Kidding

From what I've heard it all depends. Some swear by certain products and others say nothing works.

Some people have success with the "Squirrel B Gone" which is some predator urine you spray on the trunk of the trees.
I guess foxes are a squirrel's worst enemy...(see attachment)...
and now I know why.

I never knew a fox could climb a tree!!

*The photo is from my friend's backyard where a family of foxes (2 parents & 3 kits) stayed for several weeks.

Do beavers climb trees?
In: Beavers

Answer
No, they don't. Supposedly the Mountain beaver can, but documentation did not accompany the report. Mountain beavers generally stay close to home.

A link to the Wikipedia article on beavers is provided for confirmation and further reading.

I have heard that they don't like moth ball crystals. I intend to give it a try since they chewed completely multiple Christmas light cords (including the copper wire) I had stuffed in a canvas bag at 30'. Unfortunately it was on a gfi circuit...

Will RF urine wash away quickly?

I wonder about mixing up a solution of moth crystals and spraying around the chewed areas. Then, when the solution evaporates the paradichlorobenzene [I remember that from 9th grade chemistry distillations] will remain.
