I ran my "leather" straps under the spur for a long time, because I had trouble keeping the stirrup where it belonged. Running the straps under the spur fixed that problem, and made spurs much more comfortable to me.I never read the directions on the geckos. That makes a ton of sense.
I like the Velcro lowers because I can get them screaming tight, but that's pretty genius.
My apprentice can't stand spikes. We've tried every which way and they just hurt his feet. I wonder if this would help? Never encountered an issue like he's having before. Debating trying the platform style to help him.
I wonder if running the leather straps that way would cause them to wear out faster, or if there's any "safety" issue? I'd imagine not if he's posting about it, beings as he's probably ran them that way for a long ass time and he pretty thoroughly researches stuff.
