Splicing, wanna see my tool

Seems like its splicing season so i wanted to help out.
I made these after @#%$^#%$^ and stuff.
Still dont know how to use a hanger, but thought you guys might toss this about.

Those are umm, rustic looking. I've never used a push fid so other than that I can't comment... I kinda like'em though.

The wire fid thing is simple. take a piece of wire, say 3' long; bend it in half. poke the sharply bent point into the cover where you want the buried part to come out; run it inside and poke it through where the bury will start; poke about an inch of some of the yarns from the tail you're gonna bury between the wires where they poke out; pull the wires where you poked them in to begin with and pull the tail into the rope, all the way through and out where you started.

Basically you pull, rather than push. Everything else is the same.
 
yes so far 3 strand and tenex
maby primitive but its the utility that counts
they are inserted at the end of the bury the line chokes the taper and its a pull to bring it through.
my plastic push fids suck in comparison
