Splicing videos

I've begun to try and learn to splice recently and am having a couple of problems mainly with confusion about the splicing instuctions. I am very much a hands on and visual learner and have been looking into buying a splicing DVD and was wondering what some of you thought about them or if you have any other suggestions on what to buy. I've even gone as far as to write a local arborist equipment store that does there own splicing to see if they would be willing to teach me for a reasonable fee but I've yet to hear back from them. What if at all have you folks heard about the toss DVD or books? Is there anyone in the new jersey area that is looking to make a couple of extra bucks to teach me how to splice. There may be a beer or whiskey drink thrown into the barter.

The toss video is very, very good. Start bringing your questions here, too. There are a lot of accomplished splicers reading these boards. The things that are causing you grief are probably the same stuff they dealt with when they were learning. Ask the questions and you'll get the answers.
