Splicing Bee-Line, 10mm

I guess that link would be correct in that it IS a double braid splice but the question is, Class 1 or Class 2? The core is polyester (Class 1), the jacket is mostly Technora (Class 2). I think you have to assume Class 2 since the jacket is supposed to be 50% of the strength (which I find hard to believe).
It's supposedly a very easy splice for double braid.

I've said it before... I hate 10mm Beeline, it's a [stupidly censored] product. 8mm Beeline is a completely different cord with a Vectran core.... which IS hi-mod just like the jacket. You splice it completely different with a bare locked brummel on the core and then whiplock the jacket.

8mm is great stuff, 10mm has it's place but it shouldn't be labeled Beeline.

You can't really overlap the buries with a double braid splice so, not on 10mm. You can overlap the buries with a locked brummel so yes with 8mm.

Is that unnecessarily confusing or what?

Yes, I do have to say it is confusing to say the least. I purchased the 10 mm becouse I like a thicker hitch cord. I am really wishing I would have forked out the money for some HRC now.

10mm beeline is spliced as "class 1" the manufacturer directions for it can be found by clicking here.

Maybe they should just change the name, since they are different ropes.

I want a Beeline Max with a polyester-free cover.
