Speedline for palm fronds? any good ideas?

My thoughts have been that such a setup would work simpler if the redirect wasn't a pulley, but rather Porty etc. that the 'knots' would just feed over and not have to lace thru. Then have groundie control them from ground by hand.

This eliminates the problem of having the knots reeve thru pulley etc. taken a step further; dog chain could be the rope/belt device, and 'loop runners' and krabs could connect anywhere with the payload. Dyneema mini's seem like they'd grip better by size.

Handsawing and catching seems quicker?

tie your 3/8 or 7/16 double wrap rope around stem and use sling while groundy have loose end of rope at a 45 degree angle from tree in the direction of truck and when u run out of slings and biners tie them back to end of rope and pull them back up

After making my post I thought of another possiblity.

The rope goes from the ground up to the redirect or false crotch. The rope then comes down to where the climber is working. The climber has a number of short loops made from appropriate diamter cord. Tie the loops on using a Klemheist or other hitch then clip the choked sling into the loop. Make the cut, lower a little bit and do again.

When the climber uses up all of the loops and sling they can sit back and drink some water while the rope is cleared and the loops/slings are raised back up.

This is another place where a vertical speedline would work out nicely.
