Cool pics, Paul. Rock on down there, man.

I like hearing stories of the older guys who get bitten by the tree bug...makes me feel like I did make a good choice getting into arboriculture!

Man I bitten bad DYLANCLIMBS, but I wish I had more big removals, cause right now I doing a lot of pruning. Would like to wreck out some big trees with nuff blocking because I like the adrenaline of removing large pieces safely, the physics is what I am strong at. Well at least I got work, I gotta give thanks. Paul. You in da right business dude.

WOW! swingdude, thats one HUGE cuban royal! what was the DBH on that big baby?

[/ QUOTE ]
Josh it is not a Cuban, they grow more skinny and have different bark I guess they are the common ones in Hawaii. We have a few Cubans here but ours are called Cabbage Palms, common name I guess, those two were "babies" the tallest being 40' and the short one 25'. The base shrinks as they mature and the insides are like the foam in a surf board, soft and easy to cut but still pretty heavy. This variety grows to well over 90'. The bark is smooth and hard like concrete as they age. Sorry did'nt measure it though. Paul.
