Some Footages on Sunday

Everyone should watch the 3rd one. Very educational, I've learned from this seasoned vet I've been using my chainsaw lanyard all wrong forever, free clippings ok it's only 10' or 15', and the agility of his footwork I don't think I could ever pull of those kind of moves in boots and spurs.
Wtf bud, I found myself sitting here holding my breath waiting for him to lose some fingers, this is one lucky guy.

In the first video, did the guy have a speedline set up for that top and it snapped? Fairly brutal.

The last guy evidently doesn't believe in lanyards for a 2nd TIP.

I thought he rigged to big for him and locked off bent and rigging snapped. But you may be right.

Yes, and now the endless discussion about a single lanyard or a 2 in 1 lanyard hopefully comes to an end - the "Elite" climbs with "zero" lanyard.
Give him a break guys, his agility due to his sneakers defiantly should be equal to a 2nd tie in.

Sneakers...and chainsaw in a tree with no 2nd TIP 18 years my ass!

I'm really surprised by the no lanyard guy in the 3rd video. Now I have seen many people fly up a conifer with only a flipline, but I figured anyone that understands the micro pulley/Vt hitch combo would have a lanyard on their saddle! I am still waiting for part two to see the the special techniques involved in chunking that willow down : )

Ah yes, the "peel" technique, a favourite of hacks everywhere since 1928.

I had the reverse of the second video happen to me during storm work last year. Rode a giant Manitoba about 20 feet down the side of a house.
