Some extra special pork in this new bill!

Heres some of the fun stuff the Liberals and 3 Turncoat "Republicans" signed this week.......these items are REALLY going to boost the economy, and help create jobs. I cant wait to see all the jobs available @ Homeland Security when their building becomes green.

$198 million to design and furnish the DHS headquarters

$200 million for workplace safety in Department of Agriculture facilities

$75 million for the Smithsonian Institution

$300 million more for hybrid and electric cars for federal employees

$180 million for construction of Bureau of Land Management facilities

$500 million for wildland fire management

$110 million for construction for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

$522 million for construction for the Bureau of Indian Affairs

$412 million for Centers for Disease Control headquarters

$500 million earmark for National Institutes of Health facilities in Bethesda, Maryland

$100 million for constructing U.S. Marshalls office buildings

$300 million for constructing Federal Bureau of Investigation office buildings

$800 million for constructing Federal Prison System buildings and facilities

$307 million for constructing National Institute for Standards and Technology office buildings

$1 billion for administrative costs and construction of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration office buildings

No, but seriously, screw infrastructure, national museums, Native Americans, and most of all disease control. I mean come on you idiot libs, FDR(even though he was an idiot commie liberal spending all your money) had polio, was President, and had a mistress.

All the time BostonBakedBeans wastes on transcribing Limbaugh's radio rants has to affect a reduction in his income potential, which would reduce his productivity down to the teenage-welfare-mom-of-six-kids' level, which will qualify him for the 800per month, rent subsidized, food-stamped, free-porn-on-free-cellphone status of the new Republican Entitlement Whiner's club.

This Bill is touted as an economic stimulus JOB CREATING bill.

The GOP had a bill that would have created 2 times the jobs at half the cost. Why not start small? theres a reason these grants havent been approved before now. Most have been on the docket for years. Obama has control of congress and noone can stop him, easily.

The GOP is irrelevent from now on, although I prefer they get prosecuted for destroying America. Libertarians are simply closet-repubs with issues.

Why is that?

And how do you figure libertarians are closet GOP? VERY different parties oak.

and who said I am a Libertarian? Not me, I am independent. Neither of my original picks were nominated by either party so I was forced to vote 3rd party.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ALOT OF THAT SPENDING IF WE HAD THE MONEY FOR IT. BUT WE DONT...
Secondly- all of that PORK will only create jobs temperarily (spellig) what will happen when the money runs out. Well let me tell you. First, all of those people who got the jobs from the money that the governement didnt have in the first place will loose them. Then what the government will have to borrow more money to give all those people jobs again with money that the government doesnt have again and there by repeating the cycle. and we get deeper and deeper in debt.
The larger the government the more inefficiant it is we all know that.
If you give alot of that money to small business owners like alot of us what would we do with it. HMM invest it into our own companies to do what hmmmm create more jobs that will last and there by creating a better GDP (Gross domestic product) I guarantee the majority of small business owners could use the money alot more efficiantly, wisely, and turn a better profit than the government.

First round of TARP bailouts, under Bush, went fast and to people who didn't account for it, were responsible for needing it (re: failures), and used it to purchase other institutions that faltered under similar circumstance.

So now we're suppossed to "trust" business owners to do the right thing?

It was business that created this spiralling nose-dive. It has to be the govt. to bail it out. Only difference now is this government ISN'T the last government and accountability is the only trust, alongside measures to start new projects w/ foresight and futures (re: jobs in energy and infrastructure and to slow foreclosures).

To resist this seachange is tantamount to wanting America to fail. That's the same mindset Bin Landen and fundamentalist Islam have.

Geez, give the guy a chance. After all he has been charged with, essentially, picking up the pieces of a broken nation.

Spending our money on "tax cuts" that equate to $13/week is laughable. Put some money in our pockets to soend to boost the economy.

Why pay the mortgage companies more koney to stop foreclosure? What did they do with it last time? they threw parties, bouhgt jets, and new offices. Why not give that money to struggling homeowners?

Show me any of the earmarks in this bill and what jobs they will create for longer than that project takes to complete. there are NONE!

"there are NONE!"

Are you absolutely certain about that?

You also mentioned "we don't need more govt. jobs, we need less".

I don't think less than just a few state or city public safety officials would agree to that, or peanut inspectors.

Prove me wrong! Show me the jobs being created that are non government and will last longer than the project the $ is earmarked for. You cant because they dont exist. to make jobs that last long periods of time and employee people for life, it takes a small to mmedium businesses, not GOVERNMENT!

peanut inspectors are government employees?

Prove where bigger government works in the world in a democracy.....BTW we are NOT a democracy.
