The design is a spin off from the Onyx, which I can speak to.. It's a very very comfortable saddle, and every bit as good as the treemotion. The onyx has some quarks which I THINK the monkey beaver addresses well. I'm 6' and 160 with a 31-32" waist, and long torso. I added leg padding, not because I needed it for comfort, but because I really like the design of a snug leg pad adjusted low. My legs are simply too scrawny to fill the space to wear it as intended.
The onyx is a PITA to dial in and adjust, but once its there, micro adjustments are all that is needed. The monkey beaver seems to have adopted this as well (it was a new tribe collaboration harness after-all). Not sure if it was a production thing, falling out, or what the arrangement was for August to take on the manufacturing thing (none of my business!). Call me picky, but the reason I didn't buy a MB1 is the fixed gear loops/rings. I like to have bilateral symmetry.. The MB2 allows for this, now I'm not sure if I like the elastic leg loopy things..
Hope its still around to try when I replace my onyx.
