. IT was nice to be back on the old skate board! My buddy brought in his skateboard today and at lunch time we all took turns doing our best tricks. I busted out some big kick flips and three sixty Kick flip varials. I have to say my limmers gave me some good ankle support, so no problem with rolling my ankles, Thank god! But I am itching to get back into the skate seen after today’s mid lunch skate comp!

skate or die! first helmet i used in the trees was a skate helmet :P

i ride black label 7.5 decks with ricta wheels and indie trucks. bones swiss bearings make a HUGE difference. also, dont use plastic risers between your deck and trucks unless your skating at the park with a half pipe and mini ramps.

Dang Your ride a small board. I have a black label 8" in my garage that needs love. My signature move was a balls out ollies down as many stairs as I could find. Also the Heel flip was my jam. I rode grind king trucks on spit fire wheels.

I met Mike vallely back in the day at a skate comp, always loved his graphics. My first Powell board was the Bug it was heavy as hell. Josh I love those Swiss bearings you can roll for ever on them.
I might go check out the skate shop to get a new deck, after yesterday I think I’m hooked again. I miss the days of ollieing up on top of picnic tables.

I love that sticker Sz. I think that sticker came with my Bug.

Damn 360 flips, that's awesome. Could never dial that one in and wrecked my ankles a few times trying to bust it down stairs. My favorite trick when I jump on a board now is a nollie 180 heel flip, feels great!

I stopped skating though because of too much down time being injured and missing great surf.

My kids are getting into it too. We've got a nice public "street park" close by. I made it a goal to get me a new board this summer. Dang it. Truck repairs and taxes keeping me from that.

Sk-8ting in bowls is a great work out for old dudes. I feel I'm getting into the age where I need to get a long board and pump my way around the bowls.

I'm now chicken to do tricks, because falling when you're 35 hurts differently then when we were teens.

Been sk8n almost 40 yrs still have half pipe in b/y. Was factory spon's in 80's no more street but always hit the parks when traveling. Jamin, CO is loaded with good parks: Denver, Aurora, etc, etc. Sk8 or.......well WORK!

Too true Jamin, somehow we used to just bounce....well, now that i think about it i remember some bad slams, maybe it was more a case of you just didn't care. Nailing a trick was WAY more important than being able to climb a tree tomorrow and put food on the family table!

Mike! You've got a ramp in the yard! Sick.
I always wanted to build one at the workshop but too worried about employees getting injured on it.....

Just watched a good skate vid on the plane back from europe the other week.
"It's always sunnies in Australia" Tony Hawk, his son and a bunch of others.
Showed some local spots. Good for anyone coming to sydney this year to see. Trailers are on youtube, full movie on itunes.

I here you about being worried about getting hurt. No more hand rails or big drops for me at 34 my knees will probably buckle. But the sick technical tricks and big ollies on to or over picnic tables, garbage cans and fire hydrants is where I want to get back to by the end of the month.
I’m thinking of skating to my truck lot every morning to get back in the grove and have a little fun on the way to work. Plus I’ll save a little on gas.
Who knows maybe a skate vid in a month for the buzzers to watch.
Mike that’s awesome you have a ramp in your yard!

santa cruz jason jesse ashes to ashes re-issue. 10.5 wide, 215 indys, 65mm park wheels. Nice to know there's some others on the buzz that like red concrete!! Vert only for me, gotta get that flow!
