Six year experienced climber looking for work

Hello everyone, my name is Russell Freeman and I will be setting out in August to tour this great land. I am looking to work a couple days/weeks here and there to finance the trip. I have all of my own gear, including saws. I have been climbing trees professionally and proficiently for about six years now, ISA certified and have competed in 2 competitions in Jersey and one in the Southern chapter this past April. I plan to leave NY state about the middle of August and first travel to WI, near Minneapolis, then I may go west or maybe south, I really don't have any concrete plans, just ideas and ability.
I look forward to talking to some of you soon. my e-mail is freemanruss@hotmail.com
thanks-
Russell

Russell: What kind of insurance do you carry?

Everyone else: What kind of insurance would he need in order to stop by your place and work for a day or two?

none,
just slap him on the books for the time hes on staff, fill out your normal new hire packet and he's good to go.
or sign him up at labor ready for min wage,(and bs em say he worked 4 hours only) and give him the differance in cash so he can travel, and be FREE!!
good luck, let me know if you make it to cali, im in the south and bet i could find someone willing to hook you up, or if you go to humboldt i bet i could link you with someone up there, although you maay just realax if you go there.

Im in Albany NY area if you want to start close or finish here and stay a while or both. Im always looking and offer health ins.and more PM me if interested.

I'm in southeast Michigan, depending on timing something might work out well. Depends on what type of climbing your intending on doing or can do? Sleep in your car? or looking to travel in three stars?

I plan to sleep in a tent or in a hammock where the bugs are mellow. I don't really know how to answer about what climbing I can do. I footlock prunes, spike removals. I have had a little experience removing trees assisted by cranes. I have worked and climbed in the northwest with western redcedar, Douglas fir, Bigleaf maple for 3 years. I have worked on the east coast in New Jersey climbing big oak trees, giant tulip poplar and sycamore for another 3 years. I spent four months this past winter in Mississippi doing volunteer storm damaged tree removal with Hands on USA. I have a complete set of climbing gear. I have my own saws: MS200T, MS460, 335XPT. I have a three-legged, one-eyed dog named Alice. I have a large block for rigging. I only have one rigging line, and it is only half inch. I may use campsites from time to time if they are affordable and available.

Sounds like a great adventure your doing. Michigan is known for its outdoors. Just A suggestion, if heading to Minn. try taking a route up through northern Mich. into the upper Penninsula and over. The scenery and lakes are great.

Soundes like your well adversed in climbing for the time you have been at it. If you can, let me know if our interested in stopping in southeast Michigan and what your looking for money wise etc. and we can be one of your pit stops.
You can E-mail me at www.tteinc@hotmail.com

We have great equipment and are Insured, Bonded, and carry Workman's Compensation.
Nice collection of rigging and climbing equip you have too.

If yer headed to The Great Lone Star & Snake State, please feel free to give They Might Be Monkeys! a call in Austin. We finally have a full staff again but I'm sure we goind find some thing for you to do for a few days.

Don't get testy Russ or the people you're trying to entice may see your angry side.

Oh, and most of these guys and gals know that throwline isn't my best event usually, so maybe talk about how you beat Todd Pearson or some of the better shooters.

Seriously, Russ is probably a good climber. I can't truly say since we've never climbed together. The company he worked with in NJ is a no BS company so he should be real productive.
