No! Ha ha ok, yes.

It's just takes mocking it up (dry fit so to speak) and making marks with knowledge of fid sizes. The straight buries at the rings are 2/3 a fid and the final bury after the locking brummel is a fid and 1/3 tapered for 2/3 of a fid.

Reed, are you saying that you somehow managed to produce all of the spliced products that we are seeing on the table in a single day? If so, that is amazing to me. How many years would you say that you have been splicing rope?

Beautiful work. It could be a legitimate side business, if the tree climbing work ever experiences slowdowns, I'd be guessing.

4 hours actually. About 7 years for myself and friends/ associates. Can't afford the insurance to make it a valid side business...
