The Shinny 357 is known for its starting problems some years ago the was a kit that was a retrofit for the reed valve. It was called the "Hyper Kit". This was 10 years ago or so..............this may or may not be your problem. try fattening up the low side a bit. Make sure to readjust the idle speed as richening it up will bring the idle down. Make sure your air filter is clean before you do any adjustments!

My buddy has one...I hate it he loves it.

Hard to start even when warmed up. Seems very fickle and either starves for fuel or floods.

If it don't start in 3 pulls I open the throttle and put it on about 1/3 choke. Three more pulls and choke goes off throttle stays open.

Three more pulls and it goes through the chipper. Only problem is I can usually get it to cough then run. Haven't been able to toss the stupid thing yet.

GADAY TO YOUALL I THINK I FIXD THE PROBLIM HIGH OKTAIN GAS 97 OR HIGHER THE NEXT SAW I BAY WILL BE A HUSSKAVANA CLIMING SAW.
