Sherrill does it again

Trying to figure out why a company would advertise new items in a mail out catalog, then when you call trying to order the new saddle, they don't know when they can ship it because they don't have any in stock. Please explain how this happens when it just came in the mail sat. and the person tells me I also have two other orders for this saddle I will have to get back to you after I talk to the buyer. Way to have your stuff in order.

I understand why they ran the ad.

They needed to advertise the product for their big catalog release, otherwise there wouldn't be much of a splash for their new Jump off point which seems to be saddles.

Just good business. Sucks for the first to order folks but benefits more people in the long run.

Let me know what you think of the saddle. I almost purchased one today because my stinks from the rain

Catalogs go out once a year and thus need to feature the products they already know will be carried through the period. There could've been production or distribution delays that caused the problem. I've seen that before in the electronics business with some of the biggest in the business, i.e., Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, etc.... It sucks for all but is just another example of Murphy's law.
