sh*&%y boots

I climb everyday in my Asolo 520's. 90% of my business is removals on spikes. I have yet to have any problems. Which model are you referring to?

I got a pair of hoffman's they suck breaking in.I filled my with water worked them dry best boots ever spent money on.But they was not cheap.Always order before you need them most the time it takes them two weeks to make when you order.

I thought I posted this already, maybe it was on a different thread, but I really like my Arbpro boots. Great for on and off spikes. I've only had them for around five or six months, but so far only minor wear which was easily repairable has occurred. I think they're worth the loot, look cool too. ;)

Can't say I've had any boot, at any price, last longer than about a year. Seams rip, soles unglue, eyelets pop, hooks snap, waterproofing fails.

Longest lasting I ever had were some timberlands that were used only in the woods and not in the urban jobsites and they lasted shy of two years.

Since I bought them through LL Bean I took them back to see about getting them resoled. Unfortunately they couldn't do that so they let me turn in the old boots and gave me full credit for new boots. Shoulda kept 'em and had them resoled...I'd probably still be wearing them.

Everything else I have bought from $35 wally world work boots to $500+ wildland fire boots have all STB within a year.

I've finally settled on Keen boots both the hard-toe work boots and the mid-rise hikers (for climbing)

They have a 1 year warranty and so I've returned the pairs that died out before then, was given a store credit, and bought new. My hard-toes are still going after 3 years but I must admit I don't wear them unless I'm strictly on ground duty.

Most I've ever paid for Keens is $150.

If I were in spurs all day, every day I'd think twice about them but for every day work, wear and even hunting they've met my endurance standards. And, Keen stands behind them every time I've sent them back, even into the final weeks of the warranty.

I got almost 2 years out of my whites before I had to have them rebuilt. 3 times as long as any other boots I've owned but they were definitely an investment. Best thing about them is that they are rebuildable for about half the price of new. Now I do most pruning jobs in a pair of asolos and switch to my whites on the ground and for gaff work and my feet have been extremely happy.

I agree on the White's. Probably not the best for pruning, but are #1 for ground and removal work. Have had mine for 9 years and have them rebuilt once already. I am pretty much on the ground these days and my feet are happy.

chippawas. $179 for steel toe & logger heels. Got over a year out of them, then sent the to Nushoes.com to have 'em restitched in some areas and make sure the sole is still attached good. for $70 its like a new boot. Haven't warmed up to the Asolo's in yet, little pricy to me for something like that.

I had the same problem with Dakota. Just absolute garbage, i went to a pair of royers and they are probably the most comfortable, durable boot i have ever owned. i bought them for $150 but usually retail for around $225.
I think they may be Canadian made, none of that china garbage.

Does Mark's still over the lifetime warranty on the Dakotas? When I lived in T.O. I took a pair of their winter work boots back after about a 1.5 yrs and they replaced them. Royers are good but I can't get them down here. I believe they're made in Quebec.

Get some custom Wesco Highliners and be done with it for goodness sakes!
