Sena 20s intercom system

So my boss just got us four sets of the sena 20s Bluetooth headsets.
First off, they have not been what I expected. Don't get me wrong it's nice to be able to communicate with my guys on the ground but so far they've more problematic than anything.
The main issue I have is the noise cancelling feature. It's seems to be nonexistent! I've gone through the settings, talked to tech support, and still can't hear the guys while any equipment is running. I run a four man crew and there are times wear I have a guy chipping brush and another running a saw. The third guy and I cannot communicate at all while this is all going on. After quite a bit of research I'm starting to gather that most guys use the tap to talk method... my questions are, is this how most tree guys use these units and if so how can I apply this to four units in a group intercom? I really appreciate any suggestions or insight on how most use these units. Thanks.

Welcome Doug. Can't help you with the sena units, but you probably ought to move this thread to the Rant and Rave forum. People see it here and they will think you want to sell them. Check tree stuff.com as nick has a video posted there regarding syncing 4 units.

Microphone direction is critical.

An idling saw is one thing, cranking it is another. If a guy is off cutting, have him click out, and keep an eye open.

They're for motorcycles. Exhaust pipes out the back. Muffler on a saw... Out the front. Chipper noise in front.
