I have a few things I'm going to be selling. Prices include shipping to the lower 48, PayPal friends and family preferred but can work with other platforms like Venmo, Zelle, paper check in the mail.

  1. Tachyon Lava Surge with large splice eye. 150' new in bag - $180 $150 $115 SOLD
  2. All Gear Pro Force 1/2" rope. 104' new in bag no splice - $175 $125 $100
  3. All Gear transformer sling 3/4". Never used - $15 (must buy something else, not selling separate) SOLD
  4. Petzl grillon (old version never used) - 14' no connector - $135 $100 $60
  5. Petzl Sequoia Harness non srt version size 1. Label with manufacture date got ripped off. I bought this used to have as a spare and do not use it, also ended up liking the SRT version better. - $225 $200 SOLD
  6. Petzl Sequoia TOP harness for SRT harness - bought this used with a sequoia srt harness but has very little use. I'm keeping the harness and passing these along. - $90 $75
  7. Shembiner XL - $20 (must buy with something else, not selling separate)SOLD
  8. DMM Vault Lock - $50 (must buy with something else, not selling separate)SOLD
  9. Speak Easy Vertix Actio Pro-C comm systems (three of them) - used but working and paired to each other - $300 $250 $200 for all. (must buy all three, might need to get new sticky pieces or foam mic covers. Slightly older version of these: https://arborwear.com/product/actio...p8qc8BWjX25aGCy8LZP1wVqm5FAYQxzfXJIJUjuMapXDP
  10. Notch rapid rig - $15 $10 (must buy with something else, not selling separate)
Everything is in working order. I'm just overflowing with gear so moving some items down the line. If you want more details just ask.

How are the speak Easy comms? Seems harder to find info on them in the tree groups
I honestly haven't used them in the field. The plan was to put these on some extra helmets and take them out when doing trainings with folks that didn't have comms but that just hasn't panned out and I found other ways to solve my communication issues without lugging around a duffel bag of extra helmets. I think there are more exposed wires and connections on this, and you can't disconnect a puck like the sena SMH10 units but installing it on your helmet is pretty simple. Halo elastic band around the helmet and stick the mic on your muff...done. These things go for $300 new each. Figured someone with a small crew or a contract climber might snag em for crane work or something.

some "propaganda" on em in a tree work setting:

I've never actually seen anyone climb with the big eye splice. I assume that the rubber band is to make a tight eye at the end, so what is the reason for not just splicing a tight eye? I'm pretty sure I have heard the explanation, but it's been a few years. Something to do with break strength?

Without too many details, a friend of mine passed away and I bought a bunch of his gear from his wife to help her clean house. This rope was in the "on-deck" circle for when he was ready to retire his current one. As far as I know he preferred these larger eyes with the rubber band keeper for two reasons. 1: The large eye makes pulling the rope through a remotely installed ring and ring friction saver easier because the firm bit of the splice throat doesn't reach the rings until the floppy part of the eye is already past a ring. If you've ever tried to pull a tight eye splice through a ring and ring, sometimes its a bitch. 2: This is really the main reason he did this...He had these solid orange plastic thimbles that were the size of a silver dollar. Just picture a rigging ring, but plastic, skinnier and the center hole fits a carabiner perfectly without allowing the carabiner to rotate through the hole. I have never seen these plastic thimbles for sale but if I can find a picture of em I'll upload it. The thimble was used to keep a nice bend radius in the splice and to prevent the carabiner from rotating and potentially side loading. The rubber band would snug the eye down to the thimble to prevent the thimble from popping out of the eye. The thimble was removable by moving the rubber band out of the way, which then allow you to install the rope in a friction saver.

I climbed on his setup a few times and absolutely hated that stupid plastic thimble lol.

Not to derail here but, I just learned the actual quote from Tombstone that Doc Holiday says is “I’m your huckle bearer”

The huckles were the handles on caskets… it totally blew my mind haha. And changes the weight of that quote immensely.

That rumor has circulated for a while, however, no official copy of the script has ever shown that, and Val Kilmer maintains that he said "huckleberry", going as far as titling his autobiography "I'm Your Huckleberry".... so... :estudioso:

I had them for a couple years and they worked well. The noise cancelling was good. I wound up switching because I didn’t find a good way to mount the transmitter and run the wires without them being a PITA when I was climbing

I have been running 3 sets of them for about half a year now to "tne". I have ran a sena smh10 for years for my comparison for testing the speak easy system. In short I still think the sena is superior but the speak easy does shine in some sena model smh10 dark areas. Could go more in depth but that deserves a thread of its own.
