Securing core fibers for Bridge use

Any recommendations for at-home means of securing core fibers in kernmantle ropes being used in knotted bridges? Or is this a non-issue?

If you're concerned, you can put a couple of passes with a speedy stitcher behind your knot. It would help with fraying.
Mostly, there is no need to worry. A double fisherman's with adequate tail (4x the rope diameter, I believe? I usually just stick with 3") is solid unless you're working with dyneema. That's the reason that globe 3k has the stitching on the ends. The outer core (I think) is dyneema and can slide through the knot if the tail isn't long enough.

Speedy stitcher needles should be rounded off before using, they will cut rope fibers if not. The stitching might also make the rope stiff enough that it can’t slip through the knot when loaded.

Yeah, that!
I didn't even think about speedy stitcher details.

For the TM bridge the core is Dyneema, I believe the cover is a polyester weave. Dyneema is slippery for sure, Teufleberger is covering the bases when they stitch through the cover to capture the core. When Globe 3000 was available many climbers did not stitch down the core. If the double overhand stopper is well set and the tail is at least 3” the core isn’t going to slip through. As many who climbed on Globe 3000 Dyneema core bridges know, once the stopper is well set and the bridge is climbed on, the stopper sets like a rock. There never was a report of a bridge fail from the core slipping through a well formed and set stopper.
