Saw Pod

Just got a Saw Pod the other day. I have only used it a couple of times, it will take some getting used to but I think I like it. The main problem I have with it is the bottom velcro strap will not adjust tight enough. My wife is going to shorten it for me and it should work fine. Has anyone else had this issue or do I just have chicken legs?

Been thinking of switching over to the leg mount for a while now. Do you find the handle poking you in the inner thigh when climbing/Footlocking? Ever find it just gets in the way, or is hard to dock/undock the saw?

I have not used it a lot but the few times I did it did not seem to get in the way. It really seems a more convenient location especially on limbwalks. The main problem I was having is the saw seems to get pulled out by limbs or the tail of my rope, it seems this should lessen as I become accustomed to the new location of my saw. Now that I have the strap adjusted I am going to give it a couple weeks and see what I think after that.

Saw pod is the best 20 bucks I've ever spent.

I've heard of some having issues. I've never had one in the 3 years I've owned it and I use it everyday even on removals.

Well worth the money. Turn any bandsaw into a leg mounted cutting fury

Put a bit of electrical tape on the tip of your saw to help keep it 'docked.'

Didn't figure you to be the type that was into docking Tom.

Learn something everyday I guess

You may want to rethink this entire statement being on the worldwide web, within public view.

Im uncomfortable now.

use the sawpod for my zubat and gomtaro, my sugoi I wear on my waist, tried the leg straps that go with it, too long.

sawpod rocks once you get used to it being on your leg.

I have had a leg mount handsaw for awhile now. I love it. I just used my zubat case took of the clip on the top and just ripped off some straps from an old pair of chaps. A little gorilla glue and electrical tape and you have a leg mounted handsaw.

Now for the falling out part. The solution i came up with was using stretchy shoelaces. I tied two of them together and it makes the perfect length.

Now this is something you have to get used to because a string is now attached to your handsaw. I originally did it for last years comp because i didnt want a cheap DQ. Then I just left it on.

Try glueing a small rare earth magnet to the outside of your scabbard. That should keep the saw secure from falling out.

i came up with this idea years ago and it really works. placing the magnet on the 'top' edge tends to pull the teeth away from the edge of the scabbard. mine is many years old and hasn't chewed down to the metal band
