Last Monday I had to drop a 70ft. dead maple over a cedar bush.
I climbed up above the cedar, made an open face notch, secured both tree and stump with rope and made the felling cut dropping the maple over the cedar but keeping it secured at the cut.
I then cut the top off the maple, made another felling cut and dropped the remaining stump and tree top sideways over the cedar.
It worked quite well and thought it worth mentioning.
