Samson /Edelrid climbing and rigging ropes (NEW)

I understand unforeseen, and unfortunate events happen. I’ve always had very good experience buying from Donny, but I’m beginning to more and more feel like I/we won’t be getting our goods, or a refund….
 
I completely agree with being understanding of the situation and god forbid it is extremely serious. As I’ve said, I have nothing but positive things to say about my interactions with Donney and I hope nothing but the best for him and his family. That being said I feel Chris’s concerns. I’m personally out close to $600. Is it world ending ? No, but it is a bummer especially in winter.

Does anyone on the board know Donney personally or work near him? If he’s in serious bad shape maybe we could come together to help out in some way? Contribute to a go fund me or or if near by lend a hand with his work load etc? It would also put to rest the wonders and any other feelings. If anyone can reach out and knows a way to help the guy out I’m down to contribute.
 
Based on his wife's comment about a blood clot, anything is possible. He could have had an ischemic stroke and be completely unable to walk, talk or function. They could be working on getting him in the best shape possible and then bringing him home, and his wife may well not want to deal with this part of the puzzle, in the hopes that he will get well enough to see to it himself. Having said that I would also like to know more, but don't feel entitled to know more.
 
In situations like this, one has to be patient. Not easy for some. But just try to put oneself in his families position. This is the last thing on their minds. All of us chatting here I presume are in good health, so just for that we must be grateful. All will be well with regards to our needs etc being met. Sorry but just trying to put a little positivity on the situation. I wish Donny and fam the best.

I don't know Donny, but I think this is the best statement made here since his wife's comment.
 
Hoping Donny is well.
But, we need to hear from him or family on this situation, please. They’ve likely forgotten about these transactions, so if someone is nearby or otherwise knows how to get a hold of Donny or fam, please do so and explain that a few members on TreeBuzz are still waiting for the gear or a refund. Even just an update would be great!
 
All- I am not trying to be overly aggressive by bumping this thread. I had completely forgotten this had happened, until recently. I had paid for some rope for an apprentice of mine as a gift/bonus…. I ran into him a few days ago (climbing with just a flip line…) I told him he needed a climbing rope, and he then reminded me that I never came through….
