Safety and Training Director--For Climbers ready for the next step

Arborist and Training and Safety Director: continue to develop, implement, and manage a modern training and safety instruction program in accordance with TCIA guidelines. Teach and instruct arborist apprentices how to safely and efficiently prune, remove, plant trees, and assist climbers and arborists as grounds operations specialists. Communicate knowledge of ANSI Z-133 safety and A-300 tree care standards. Have a strong desire to recruit, train, instruct, teach, and mentor. Be familiar with modern arboricultural knowledge and techniques.

New Urban Forestry operates with a team first approach and we prioritize a structured and formal training program, including both the technical and theoretical. We want all of our arborists and apprentices to become certified arborists! We believe in a truly holistic approach to urban forestry, which includes trees and more than trees.

Athens, Ga. Home of REM and Drive by Truckers.

Sorry for the delayed response

For you climbers out there: we're not suggesting that you will become a manager with a clipboard and a belly talking to the new apprentices about the good Ole days. You can still "help " with production. Heck, help with sales too. I like training and have no problem sharing the job task. This is the perfect job someone, surely? Plus Athens is the Portland, Oregon of the south. Kind of.
